Going to write down my thoughts as the first game goes.

Pregame:

• I had planned on cooking a my normal dinner tonight (chicken and salad) but decided I deserve some Uber eats and a beer tonight since it’s opening night.
• Game tips off at 7:30, allegedly, but it’s 7:26 and Shaboozy just started performing that Whiskey song. Unsure what this does to first tip. I guess I’ll check back in at like 7:40
• He has a Jaylen Brown jersey on I think
• ShackShack has two-for-one truffle burgers so I got two of those puppies on the way plus a ginger ale since my stomach kind of hurts

Tipoff:

• Tatum already bricking 3s
• Brunson’s first two baskets were gross
• We CANNOT let Horford get wide open
• Seeing KAT hit that jump hook was awesome
• We look great offensively so far. Celtics hitting almost every three and have had some inopportune rebounds.

Post first commercial break:

• Hart hitting it inside really helps us. He’s the “worst” player on the court and he’s forcing them to guard him
• Mikal’s breaking his shot in the offseason might be the biggest area of concern for this team
• KAT needs to get his big ass rebounding
• Sims first C off the bench — okay.
• Good lord Sims is terrible. LUKE KORNET just schooled him
• Our wing defense has been as advertised. Unfortunately our paint defense has been as advertised too…
• Deuce picked up where he left off

Post second commercial break:

• I forgot how much I can’t stand Reggie Miller
• Okay we’re getting killed by Tatum. I might have to cut this early.
• In fairness, this is a championship team returning the exact squad from last year versus pretty much a whole new team
• Those 6 min of Sims was 5 min too long. I fear I’ll be saying the same about Cam Payne
• They’re just hitting everything and we can’t buy one
• Oh my god Bridges might never hit another shot with his new jump-shot
• So they missed the franchise record for threes in a quarter. Cant be shocked we’re down 20

Start of 2Q:

• I really want KAT to go off. The reason we got him was so we had another legitimate star to take over when everything else is going wrong and Brunson is out
• Whoa we got a Pacome sighting already?? On a Thibs team??
• God this is awful. Luckily my food is almost here
• Got my food. We sucked tonight but at least Brunson looks good
• They’re on pace to score 150 there’s just nothing you can do. I’ll probably take it easy on this for the rest of the game.

Final thoughts:

• The Celtics are probably the best team in the NBA and are returning everyone. We’ve been together 2 weeks there’s no need to panic
• They’re having the greatest three point shooting game ever (almost literally, as I write this with 2 min left in the 3rd)
• The Brunson-KAT duo looks great
• McBride is also killing it
• Mikal’s shot issue is the biggest concern on the season so far. I’d rather us lose by 100 next game and have him make some shots
• Another minor concern: this teams rebounding
• Like I said above, it’s really hard to worry if rebounding, three point defense, etc is truly an issue when this will be the best team we face all year. There was always a shot everything looked bad
• See below for my dinner. It looks like shit but I promise it tasted good. Would have just gotten one but it’s BOGO and decided to treat myself for the occasion
